 The SGP 2012 Award was launched in 2004 to recognise outstanding individuals, organisations and companies that have contributed significantly to Singapore's efforts towards achieving environmental sustainability, and are role models for environmental protection. The origin of this festival is based upon a very sweet and noble idea. In earlier times, girls would get married at a very young age, and had to go and live with their in-laws in other villages far away from their own parents. If she had any problems with her husband or in-laws, she would have no one to talk to or seek support from.

They were supplied with taximeter and their name was shortening from taximeter "automatic meter to record the distance and fare" (1898), from Fr. taximètre, from Ger. Taxameter (1890), coined from M.L. taxa "tax, charge." An earlier Eng. form was taxameter (1894), used in horse-drawn cabs. The verb is first recorded 1911, from earlier noun use as slang for "aircraft."

- An international competition where the best specialists in the sector will go head to head in Limoges, France, over 24 hours non-stop.
