The Norwegian Military Tattoo was presented for the first time in 1994. It is the biggest indoor event in Norway, presented every second year in Oslo Spektrum. In this excellent venue the Tattoo has developed into a very popular event which attracts military music enthusiasts from all over the world and it is also very much a family show. We have had and have participants from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Rumania, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand and of course several Norwegian units.

The first three incarnations of the festival were in Rio de Janeiro, in 1985, 1991 and 2001 and later the there were three in Lisbon, in 2004, 2006 and 2008.
